Gearboxes

SGE offers substantial savings in the exchange of worn gearbox units for rebuilt units, or our customer can choose to have SGE rebuild their worn gearbox in-house, utilizing our Cone Drive Certified Technicians.

Gearbox: before and after

SGE's specialized gearbox program offers the following procedures in a gearbox rebuild:

  • Blasting, priming & painting with corrosive resistant epoxy paint.
  • Inspection of Bronze and Worm Gear.
  • Replacement of all Seals, Bearings and Shims.
  • After reassembly, to ensure proper operation, a bronze gear alignment and shimming check is conducted prior to a final test run of the unit.
  • SGE gladly offers and provides written estimates of cost.
SGE is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and as a customer-oriented business, will initiate gearbox rebuild or repair only after all options and costs have been discussed and meet customer approval. gearbox
